Ceejay and CEO John Goss

In the past, John Goss has held both junior and management positions in various advertising, public and press relations (PR) and marketing communications agencies in London, England. John has also worked in many publishing roles in: national newspapers, local newspapers, news radio, domestic UK and international trade magazines in Europe, U.A.E and USA.

In business magazine publishing, John has been involved in advertising sales, media circulation and commercial development and marketing, he has also worked as a journalist, an editor and as a publisher. He is currently the editor and publisher of the monthly China Power & Energy News.

In 1982 John joined the team that launched the international power magazine Modern Power Systems (MPS), which is the leading global technical power magazine. It was while John was working with MPS that his interest in the world of power & energy was sparked. This appeal in global power & energy issues has lasted throughout his professional life and continues to this day.

In 1987 John was promoted to publisher and the business development manager over a group of global architectural trade media. He left publishing in 1990 to enter the world of PR and marketing communications and launched Pilot Communications in London, UK.

By utilizing his broad experience and widely spread network of contacts in the international power & energy industries, John soon built the international power group of Pilot Communications in London into a successful unit. This publicity and PR success is now being repeated in the world's powerhouse ? Asia.

At Ceejay in Hong Kong, John has discovered that communications are far more effective in Hong Kong than they ever were in London. Be it client or media contact it is so easy as in the mornings the Ceejay team can talk to North America, during the day they are talking to all of Asia and then in the late afternoon and evenings Europe is on-line.

Skills learnt and honed in Europe, North America and the Middle East are now being utilized to create and implement successful PR and publicity for international power & energy companies that need global press coverage or they are targeting Asia to include China, or they are asking Ceejay to focus specifically on China for them.

Services in China ?

Ceejay is involved with Chinese based PR, publicity, press relations, press conferences, newsletters, technical translations into Chinese, sales brochures in Chinese or bi-lingual versions, exhibitions in China, web pages in Chinese, Chinese press briefings, translators, personal translators for business meetings in China (this is an important factor) and much more.

Ceejay is in the right place at the right time. Unlike large agencies, we offer you a local 慼ands-on' service that is practical and appropriate to your needs. Ceejay's local team all speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese, which means that everyday communications to and from Ceejay are clear and easily understood by our clients and the Chinese trade media.

We are highly experienced at working with China's trade media and have the staff to help in all manner of PR and publicity activities. We also know many other companies in related fields of PR work, such as photography, that we can call on to provide our clients with whatever is required.

Ceejay's Chinese Partner ?

In 2007, Ceejay set up a partnership with a major Chinese Advertising and PR Agency in Beijing that knows and understands the power & energy markets in China. They know and are in contact with all of the mainstream Chinese print and broadcast, and net based media. With our Chinese partners we have organised a number of highly successful press conferences and press hospitality events.
